HVO monitoring network outage

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, planned removal of network hardware from the former USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) office in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park resulted in an unexpected monitoring data outage. HVO is working to rectify the problem as soon as possible, and staff continue tracking several unaffected data streams to maintain watch over Kīlauea and Mauna Loa volcanoes.
