Gaza man behind leaked photo from Israeli detention site describes his ‘torture journey’ in custody

Ibrahim Salem spent 52 days of his eight-months in Israeli custody at a detention facility in the Negev desert, where, he says, he was physically and psychologically tormented and beaten. He spoke to CBC about his time at Sde Teiman and the leaked photo of him that became symbolic of the abuse Palestinians who’ve been swept up in Israel’s military operation inside Gaza say they’ve endured.
