European gas buyers to pay ‘higher price’ on Ukraine transit halt: Kremlin

European consumers will have to pay a “higher price” for gas from next year if the Russia-Ukraine gas transit deal is not extended, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Aug. 28.
